Dusky jawfish

The Dusky jawfish (Opistognathus whitehurstii) is a small, burrow-dwelling reef fish found in the western Atlantic and Caribbean. It spends most of its time hovering just above a self-built sand burrow and will quickly dart inside if threatened. Like other jawfish, males are mouthbrooders—carrying fertilized eggs in their mouths until they hatch.
